Terms of Service
Last updated: August 10, 2026
These terms cover your use of giachettolandscape.com and the general conditions under which Giachetto Landscape Corp provides landscaping services. Individual jobs are governed by the written proposal or service agreement you sign, which takes precedence over anything on this page.
Website use
The content on this site is provided for general information about our services and about landscaping practice in southeastern Massachusetts. It is written from our own field experience and is not a substitute for an on-site assessment of your specific property.
Timing guidance, soil temperature thresholds, plant recommendations, and seasonal windows described on this site reflect typical USDA hardiness zone 6b conditions. Actual conditions vary year to year and property to property.
All text, images, and layout on this website are the property of Giachetto Landscape Corp and may not be reproduced without permission.
Estimates and proposals
Estimates are free and provided after an on-site walk-through. We do not quote landscaping work sight-unseen.
A written proposal describes the scope, materials, and price. Unless stated otherwise, proposals are valid for 30 days and material pricing is subject to supplier changes after that period.
Work outside the written scope — additional areas, changed materials, or conditions discovered during excavation — is quoted separately and requires your approval before we proceed.
Scheduling and weather
Maintenance clients are assigned a regular service day. Weather, equipment issues, and storm response can shift that day; we notify you when it does.
We do not mow saturated turf or set hardscape on saturated base. Delays for those reasons protect your property and are not grounds for a service credit.
Snow removal is provided under a separate seasonal or per-event agreement that specifies trigger depth, service order, and scope. Storm severity affects timing.
Spring cleanup scheduling depends on when the ground drains sufficiently to be worked without causing compaction.
Access and site conditions
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area on scheduled service days, including unlocked gates or access codes, and to secure pets.
You are responsible for identifying private underground utilities, invisible fence lines, irrigation heads, and septic system locations. We call Dig Safe for public utility marking before any excavation, but that service does not cover private lines.
We are not responsible for damage to unmarked private underground installations.
Plant material and lawn establishment
Plant and turf survival depends heavily on watering after installation. We provide a written watering schedule; following it is the client's responsibility.
Any warranty on installed plant material is stated in your proposal. Warranties do not cover losses caused by insufficient watering, animal damage, extreme weather, vandalism, or changes made by others.
Seeded and hydroseeded lawns require an establishment period and are not warranted to produce a specific density or appearance by a specific date.
Payment
Payment terms are stated in your proposal or service agreement. Maintenance is generally billed monthly; project work typically involves a deposit with the balance due on completion.
Balances not paid within the stated terms may be subject to a late charge as described in your agreement.
Insurance and liability
We carry liability and workers' compensation insurance. Certificates are available on request and are provided to commercial clients and associations as required before work begins.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Cancellation
Maintenance agreements may be cancelled with reasonable written notice as specified in your agreement. Seasonal snow contracts run for the full season and are not prorated once the season begins.
Project work cancelled after materials have been ordered or work has begun is subject to charges for materials and labor incurred.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
