Landscaping in Walpole, MA

Walpole has one genuine landscape landmark — Francis William Bird Park, laid out by the Olmsted firm — and a town of comfortable suburban neighbourhoods around it.

The work here is mostly straightforward residential: lawn renovation, bed work, and full-season maintenance on established properties.

Bird Park sets a local reference point for what designed landscape looks like, and plenty of Walpole homeowners have absorbed it — curved bed lines that follow the land, layered planting, and restraint rather than novelty. It suits the housing stock well.

The Neponset River rises in Walpole and the wetland corridors along it keep parts of town genuinely wet. On the low-lying lots, grading and drainage come before any planting or seeding is worth doing.
