Landscaping Across the Bristol County
Bristol County covers three cities, a substantial amount of working farmland, and a long stretch of Buzzards Bay and Mount Hope Bay shoreline. We serve all 20 of its municipalities.
It is the most economically varied county we cover, and the range of work reflects that — dense urban multi-family in New Bedford and Fall River, estate-scale farm property in Rehoboth and Westport, and coastal design in Dartmouth and Fairhaven.

Cities, farmland and coast in one county
The cities — Taunton, New Bedford, Fall River — have small lots, dense housing and soil carrying a century and a half of industry. Fill, compaction and construction debris are routine, so core aeration and compost do far more than fertilizer, and durable low-maintenance planting beats anything delicate.
Fall River adds topography nothing else in our territory has. The city is built on a steep granite hillside with ledge close to the surface, which makes retaining walls, terracing and erosion control routine work rather than occasional projects.
The farm towns — Rehoboth, Westport, Dartmouth, Swansea, Dighton — often carry genuinely good agricultural loam, which is unusual for southeastern Massachusetts and a substantial advantage for planting and lawn renovation. It is worth testing rather than assuming the regional sandy-acidic norm applies.
The Buzzards Bay and Mount Hope Bay shoreline brings salt and southwest wind. The coastal palette applies, and layering the planting so outer shrubs shelter what is behind them does more for survival on an exposed lot than any single species choice.
Wetlands regulation is heavy given the amount of protected shoreline, salt marsh and river corridor across the county. We establish regulatory status during the estimate rather than discovering it mid-project.

Bristol County Questions
Specific to working across the Bristol County.
Yes, all 20 towns and cities, each with its own page. The western edge — Seekonk, Swansea, Westport — is toward the limit of our range, so we group work there into set days to keep both scheduling and pricing sensible.
In parts, yes, and favourably. The farm towns have real agricultural loam with genuine depth, which is unusual around here and a significant advantage for renovation work. The cities have the opposite — fill and compaction. That is exactly why we test rather than assume.
Regularly. The hillside topography means a great many properties are terraced or held by walls, and most of the failures we are called to look at were built without crushed stone backfill, geotextile fabric or a drain pipe. Every wall we build gets all three.
